The economy on WowLegion has been inflated for some time now. We have tried various things to fix it, however the economy continues to inflate and become worse. This makes it very difficult for both new and older players alike, but almost impossible for newer players to afford many of the basic things that should cost very little.
While some of the gold was obtained legitimately many exploits were possible in the past which heightened the issue.
With the server updates, emulator change and new world DB, we have the chance to attempt to fix the problem, by removing existing gold from all players. If we combine this with updated rates, and correct drop rates, it should - in theory - go a long way to fixing the inflation problems on WowLegion and making the server more friendly for everyone.
